Virtual Course & Training Offerings
Participants are guided through an eighteen-hour curriculum that pairs six hours of Self-Paced Work with twelve hours of Live Facilitated Group Sessions. Live Facilitated Group Sessions are delivered over four, two - three hour sessions, meeting four to six weeks in between each session.
Racial Literacy Virtual Institute (RLVI)
Our Racial Literacy Virtual Institute is akin to the Virtual Client Based Course Training with the same objectives and approach, yet varies in delivery. Participants gather for a four or five day convening, either administered throughout a single week or during four or five single sessions spread across a one-month period. Both formats deliver a total of eighteen hours of racial literacy development training, which pairs six hours of Self-Paced Work with twelve hours of Live Facilitated Group Session.
Train-The-Trainer Model
This model is designed to prepare participants to eventually administer racial literacy training and provide support at their own organizational sites. The Train-the-Trainer model is a twelve-eighteen month long engagement, which reflects our highest level training offerings.
Coaching
In tandem with our foundational training offerings, Lion’s Story provides individual or group based executive coaching services in order to help leaders, decision makers and teams utilize their racial literacy skills in service of their organizational mission and daily professional functioning.
Group coaching sessions meet monthly for 90 minute sessions, led by Lion’s Story Lead or Senior Trainers. A minimum of 10 sessions are required, with preferred group sizes of 8-10 individuals. Individual sessions are designed based on the needs of the client. Participants must complete either a Racial Literacy Institute or Client Based Course Training prior to enrolling in coaching services.
