Dr. Kelsey Jones, Senior Trainer
Dr. Kelsey M. Jones is an Assistant Professor of Human Development at California State University, San Marcos. She received her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methods.
Dr. Jones engages in qualitative research that focuses on dis/ability and giftedness in the narratives of and about Black and Brown youth. Specifically, she studies the relationship between race, dis/ability, and the school-to-prison pipeline; and racial
literacy education as healing for children and adults in stressful teaching and learning environments.
