We teach racial literacy - the ability to recognize and resolve racially stressful encounters.
Whether these incidents are in the classroom, boardroom, conference room or dining room, we all must get better at identifying, processing and addressing racial stress when it happens - rather than avoid these often-difficult conversations. Through this work, organizations become stronger and more productive. Relationships blossom. And communities can begin to engage in an honest dialogue with one another.
Want to build an equitable culture your organization?
We have helped nonprofits, small and large businesses, government entities and community organizations across the nation learn, develop and use the skills to have productive conversations about race.
Our services are facilitated by clinicians, diversity & inclusion experts, administrators
and thought leaders in the field. Lion's Story develops and focuses on racial literacy
via three types of services: training, coaching and workshops.
Lion's Story is powered by a collective of professionals dedicated to the work of racial literacy. Daily operations are led and managed by a team of mananging partners and staff, with support from a village of trainers and thought partners that help us carry out our mission.
By sharing our stories with one another, we're more able, willing and ready to speak
up when met with a racially charged situation, help to diffuse the stress, and make
these conversations productive and safe.
Nearly 90% of Lion's Story clients and participants highly recommend our services. Hear what the village says about our work.
